Send fax and letter in parallel: two records for important mail
Why two channels
Each channel has a weakness. A fax can land on a machine nobody checks. A letter takes days and can get lost. If both go out in parallel, the weakness of one hardly matters, and later you can present two records.
When it is worth it
- Cancellations of contracts with a notice period
- Objections or appeals to a public authority
- Insurance claim notifications
- Payment reminders and formal deadlines
- anything where you later need to show that it was sent, and when
How it works at faxpostal
- Upload the document. We read the address and fax number if they are in the letter.
- Choose fax and letter and check both details.
- Send. The fax goes out immediately. For orders placed by 2 pm German time (CET/CEST), the letter is handed over the same business day.
Afterwards you see both channels in one delivery report under one tracking number starting with FB. To addresses in Germany, the letter can go as registered mail if you wish.
Cost
You pay for the fax via pass or subscription and for the letter per item. With the 48 hour pass for $0.99 and a letter of up to 3 sheets to an address in Germany for $2.09, you are all set. All prices
FAQ
Does the recipient then get the letter twice?
Yes, once by fax and once by post. That is why many people write By fax in advance above the address. It makes clear that it is the same letter.
Does this work internationally too?
Yes. Faxes go to over 230 countries and territories, letters to addresses in over 230 countries and territories. Registered mail is only available within Germany.
